The WBD Access x HBO Max Production Management Program aims to identify and elevate high-performing talent with a strong, long-term commitment to becoming Line Producers. The program is for individuals who are ready to take the next step in their careers and gain meaningful exposure to high-end television production. Participants will take part in an immersive, week-long intensive in Los Angeles, where they will uplevel their production management skills and connect with top industry professionals through mentorship and networking opportunities. 

Throughout the program participants will receive hands-on training, practical tools, and direct exposure to executives from HBO Max and across the Warner Bros. Discovery ecosystem. These experiences are designed to foster lasting relationships and open doors to future opportunities within the global WBD network. By investing in emerging Line Producers, WBD is building a robust pipeline of talent that will help shape the future of premium television production for years to come.

Program Description:

The application is open to production professionals with experience in scripted television who have been staffed on at least two productions. Eligible roles include: Unit Production Manager (UPM), Production Supervisor, Line Producer on smaller scale projects OR Production Coordinator, Production Accountant, Assistant Director (1st AD) on larger scale projects. Applicants must clearly demonstrate their experience through credits or verifiable work history. 

This opportunity is designed for production management professionals that are ready to advance to the next level in their careers. This application is open to everyone who qualifies. 

A select number of participants will be chosen to participate in a one-week intensive in Los Angeles in September 2025. This immersive experience will feature workshops led by industry experts, panel discussions with top-tier professionals, a networking dinner with production executives and one-on-one mentorship. 

The curriculum is designed to deepen the participants’ understanding of production management, enhance leadership capabilities, and provide insights into the complexities of high-end television production. Following the intensive, participants may be considered for future staffing opportunities across Warner Bros. Discovery. 

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview in August 2025. All applicants will be notified of their status by the end of August. Stipend, travel and accommodation for the one week intensive will be provided.

 

PROGRAM CRITERIA:

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have at least two credits in one or more of the following roles on a scripted production as a Unit Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Line Producer on smaller scale projects OR as a Production Coordinator, Production Accountant, Assistant Directors (1st Ad) on larger scale projects.  
  • Be able to work in the US and be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be available for an in-person, one-week intensive in Los Angeles (targeting mid-September 2025). Travel and accommodations will be provided for those non-local to Los Angeles.
